Only 10% of all the 2,500,000 Assyro-Chaldeans living in the world reside nowadays in Europe but they consider the State where they live their homeland. The history of this people dates back to the highest antiquity …. They still speak a modern form of Aramean, a language which replaced Hebrew in everyday life as early as the 4-4th century BS. They were along with the Western Armenians victims of the anti-Christian genocide in Eastern Turkey and Azerbaidjan in 1915. [to be developed]
